Pork
Stepney Hill Farm has its own pedigree breed of Saddleback pigs, which is a striking animal being black with a white unbroken band over the shoulder and down to both front feet.
The saddleback is a hardy breed and thrives in the outdoor environments, the special qualities of pork and bacon from the rare and traditional Saddleback is no gimmick. Commercial pork is ultra-lean; British Saddleback meat is robustly excellent by contrast, Succulent, Flavoursome and with sweet crackling to die for.
We gross our Saddle Back pigs to a rare breed British Loop Bore to give good length and confirmation. The unique combination produces simply superb meat.
The Saddle Back sows are kept out doors and sometimes we bring them in side to have their piglets.
They are free to roam outdoors and fed on naturally produced Barley, Beans and Foder beet grown at Stepney Hill Farm.
All cuts are usually available and will be prepared to your instructions.
Our whole or half pigs are available for your freezer jointed and vac packed.
